we’re doing a bit of writing for the next album.
the music video hott garbage did for “safe for the time being” will be debuting soon on the Good Old Boob Tube on some show on some channel. more on that later.
the fine folks at dovecote records have been compiling some olly oxen free remixes and stuff.
i’ve been finishing up a few more old bug lung baby songs for another solo ep which will come out when i’m good and ready.
my good friend adam netsky and i made a bug lung baby music video for “paper crane” that will emerge at some point too.

]]>WARNING: thank you overload to follow.
big big big thanks to every single person who came out to the shows (especially those from michigan[!]) and made us feel like we are spending our lives doing worthwhile things.
still more thanks to hot freaks, pirate, tangled snark, and homeslice pizza for having us at their stellar parties, and texas music cafe for the fun time in waco.
special thanks to darryl, luis, elizabeth, and everyone else who planted themselves prominently in the front of the shows and sang along.
sorry to anybody who came out to the parlor saturday night to see us (because we ended up not being able to do it)… we had to cancel a few hours before for reasons beyond our control, and had no way to get the word out to you.
thanks to everyone at dovecote, and carter in particular, for making it all possible.
thanks to shivvy and heggie for the brain warpage.
thanks to wefuse for the fantastic food and personality that brought us back again and again.
thanks to shannon and my lucky stars for creating a scenario in which i met one of my favorite musicians of all time and made him laugh.
thanks to tim williams, ed harcourt, everthus the deadbeats, via audio, health, the dirty projectors, graham coxon, monotonix, jason lytle, maps and atlases, and a million more that i just can’t think of right now for the amazing shows.

]]>We know, we know. We never, or rarely, come to your town. Teleportation technology just hasn’t arrived yet, so all you inventors, get inventing. That or you need to move to Michigan (It’s 73 degrees here 364 days a year, and jobs on average pay 300% more!!!). But you can at least blare this out your built-in laptop speakers and stand next to someone stinky and it’s largely the same as being at a Mason Proper show, right? No? Well, at least these are some great-sounding live-in-the-studio recordings as a concession prize to our long-distance relationship with you.
NUMBER TWO:
Here is the Kanye West/LCD Soundsystem mashed-up fully-loaded potato cover “Love Lockdown Gets Innocuous” we did for Coke Machine Glow available for download on it’s own in full-quality.
Download it HERE (right-click and save as).
NUMBER THREE:
Come to our show on Friday in Ann Arbor at the Blind Pig with Javelins and the Mighty Narwhale.
NUMBER FOUR:
If you happen to have learned of us only today by any widely-read music websites that could have randomly posted something about us (I assure you I have no knowledge of there having been such an incident), I recommend visiting THIS POST at My Old Kentucky Blog where you can listen to the entire album for free and reconcile what you have read with what you are hearing.
